The Center is based at Department of Law and focuses on scientific research on public choices and social and economic well-being at both national and international levels. It aims to promote and undertake activities necessary to develop the best multidisciplinary collaboration among scholars within the scientific community.
The Center investigates economic growth and social well-being, legislative, organizational, and technological innovation, market structures, and economic behavior. Research also involves tools and methodologies for economic analysis applied to specific sectors or territorial areas, such as: economic analysis of law (Law and Economics), cultural spending and cultural goods, the enhancement of ecclesiastical and religious heritage, energy and sustainable development, territorial inequalities, and the impact and management of public policies. Special attention is given to the outcomes and multiplier effects of public investments in the conservation, protection, and enhancement of cultural assets, with a specific focus on library and archival heritage.
