Erasmus+ Traineeship

Contenuto

It offers the opportunity to carry out an internship in a public or private sector body/organisation in European and non-European countries. The student receives an EU contribution to reimburse expenses. The experience may last from 2 to 12 months.

How to participate
It is possible to participate by means of a University call for applications, which is published every year approximately between September and October.  The Department of Communication and Economics proceeds with the selection of candidates on the basis of criteria indicated in the call for applications and defined by the Departmental Commission (generally, academic career, previous experience abroad, motivation, level of feasibility of the internship project are evaluated).

Criteria and Scoring
The International Relations Committee will assess the applications received on the basis of the following criteria and corresponding scores:

  • Academic record (number of exams completed out of those required in the study plan, grade point average, and, where applicable, Bachelor’s degree final mark): up to 14 points;
  • International experience (Erasmus programmes, other study or work periods abroad): up to 7 points;
  • Motivation letter / Evaluation of the proposed internship project: up to 10 points.

Motivation Letter
The motivation letter is mandatory and must comply with the following requirements:

  • it must not exceed 400 words (including spaces);
  • it must outline the objectives and motivations underlying the application, as well as describe the main features of the internship the candidate intends to pursue. Applicants already engaged in identifying an internship should describe the organisation they have selected or with which they are currently in contact, specifying the stage of the interaction;
  • the file must be named “Motivation Letter_SURNAME and NAME”;
  • the letter must be uploaded as an attachment to the application form in Esse3.

Important Notes:

  • the motivation letter constitutes an integral part of the evaluation process; therefore, applicants who fail to submit it will be excluded from the ranking list;
  • applicants who have already secured an internship must also attach the letter of acceptance to their application; this document is available on the call webpage;
  • a minimum threshold score for inclusion in the ranking list will be established by the Committee, depending on the distribution of the scores awarded.
