To access, simply activate the wireless card on your device, select the UNIMORE SSID among the detected wireless networks and connect (no special configuration of your device is required).
When you open a browser for Internet navigation (Mozilla/Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc.), the authentication portal (Captive Portal) will appear, where you must enter your university credentials (username and password): once this operation is complete, the login phase is over, and you will can access the Internet services you want.
NOTE: In some operating systems, due to security configurations and scanning of nearby wireless networks, the UNIMORE SSID may not appear as it is broadcast in clear text (unencrypted). In this case, you can manually enter the network to connect to (UNIMORE).
The Wi-Fi network is operational at the Department of Communication and Economics in Reggio Emilia, located at Viale A. Allegri 9.
Students with UNIMORE credentials can access the University Library's restricted electronic resources from home or anywhere outside the university network using the Virtual Private Network (VPN) system.

To access the VPN service, you need to download, install, and configure the FortiGate SSL-VPN client.
VPN access allows you to use the following reserved services:
- Library electronic resources
- Intranet web pages
For instructions on how to install and use the VPN client, please refer to the guides provided by the University.
