The Department establishes and strengthens international relations with other European and non-European universities in teaching and research activities. It participates in the Erasmus+ programmes for study and traineeships in order to facilitate and promote student mobility, including work-study projects.
The internationalization of teaching activities is further pursued through Visiting Professors, who provide students with valuable opportunities to engage with the latest disciplinary contributions from the international academic community. Visiting Professors also play a crucial role in establishing, consolidating, and expanding the international research networks in which the Department researchers are involved. The level of involvement and integration in these networks is demonstrated by participation in international conferences as speakers, publications in foreign scientific journals, and participation in competitive European funding opportunities.
Finally, within its scope, the Department is aligned with the University's strategic plan to support the progressive and increasing internationalization of teaching and research activities.
