The test, lasting 50 minutes, consists of a computer-based test with 45 multiple-choice questions formulated with four answer options, among which only one is correct.
To take the personal preparation assessment test, you must have submitted your APPLICATION FOR ASSESSMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS in ESSE3 IN DEFINITIVE FORM.
The questions will cover the following topics:
- 15 questions on linguistic contents (L-LIN/01);
- 15 questions on sociology of communication contents (SPS/08);
- 15 questions on computer science contents (INF/01).
The reference texts for preparing for the test are:

- Furini M., 2017, Comunicazioni Multimediali. Fondamenti di informatica per la produzione e la gestione di flussi audio-video nella rete Internet, Franco Angeli

The test result is determined by the number of correct, incorrect, or unanswered questions, resulting in an absolute score derived from:
- 1 point for each correct answer;
- 0 points for each incorrect or unanswered question.
The minimum score required to pass is 18/45. In case of failure, the test can be retaken.

- July 17, 2025, 10:00 AM, Laboratory 1012
- September 25, 2025, 10:00 AM, Laboratory 1012
- November 11, 2025, 2:00 PM, Laboratory 1012
- December 16, 2025, 10:00 AM, Laboratory 1012 (valid only for those already in possession of the curricular requirements)
Students are informed that, due to the limited capacity of the laboratory, the test may be divided into several consecutive rounds. All students are required to arrive at the starting time indicated in the convocation. Assignment to a later round will take place according to available capacity. Any delays will not be justified.

- Sign up for the "Admission Tests for Master's Degree Courses 2025" page;
- Sign up for the chosen test date (registration is possible up to two days before the test date).
